Terms of use
These terms apply to the game at motors.upstartsim.com ("the game"). By playing it you agree to them. How we handle data is described separately in the privacy notice.
A free game, provided as is
The game is free to play, needs no account and has no purchases or advertising. It is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or that it is free of bugs. To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for any loss arising from use of the game, including lost or corrupted saved games. Saved games live only in your browser; use "Download save file" to keep a copy.
It's a game, not advice
The economics, companies, people and events in the game are simplified or fictional and used for entertainment and historical flavour. Nothing in it is financial, engineering or historical advice. Real manufacturers mentioned in historical notes are not affiliated with the game and do not endorse it.
What you send us
If you use "Send feedback" or the contact form below, you give the developer permission to read, store for a limited time and use what you send (your message, optional email address and, if you choose, your saved game) to reply to you, reproduce problems and improve the game. Don't send personal information you don't want us to have, or anything you don't have the right to share. We may quote short, anonymous excerpts of feedback (never your email) in change notes.
Acceptable use
- Don't attack, overload, probe or disrupt the site or its services (including automated or bulk sending to the feedback or error endpoints).
- Don't send unlawful, abusive, harassing or spam content through feedback or contact.
- Don't use the game to infringe anyone's rights, or redistribute or sell the game, its code or its artwork without permission.
Modifying your own saved games for your own play is fine.

Changes and availability
The game is under active development: features, balance and these terms may change, and the game may be paused or discontinued. Material changes to these terms will be noted on this page with a new "last updated" date; continuing to play after that means you accept them.
Governing law
